I’ve recently moved and was browsing the local LFS, ran into the tiniest “albino Asian red tail”, it’s 100% not wyckiiodes. Are these fish often mislabeled H. nemurus or another species?
They seem like a cool fish to keep but it seems hemibagrus can be pretty nasty. I would hate for it to shred up any tankmates. What’s the smallest tank size for H. nemurus/other hemibagrus? I’d assume a 75 for a solo nemurus but have seen conflicting views. Any info on growth rate would also be great. I’m just unsure which sources to follow with so much confusion on identification.
also going to toss in a random catfish question as I don’t feel it deserves it’s own thread. Does anyone know of any medium sized predatory cats that can be grown out in a 20long for 1-2 years? I’ve been extremely interested in the Pac-Man Cats Wes has but I’m sure they’d bust a 20 gallon in no time. I’d love to be proven wrong though
