It’s possible I guess, but I was thinking you had a 4’ tank, not a 3’. So I would personally scratch the severum off the listis this still possible ??
I understand what you guys are saying. Right now I I just going to say now to the aggressive cichlids and will try make a nice peaceful tank with a pair of fish other small fish to go with it.
Let me see what other type of cichlid pair I can house in there.
A common practice is to get a group of juvenile cichlids and grow them out until a pair forms. When it does, you can rehome the rest.
Good ideas for a pair are:
Convict
Rainbow
Acara
Nanolutae
Most amantitlania/archocentrus species
Just off the top of my head
After reading the rest of this from last night, I think a group of 1m/3f Victorian haps is probably the best option. I’d go with something like Xmas fulu and avoid pundamillia types. They get big enough, are aggressive enough have nice color, would thrive in your water and are just cool. You could put a small syno cat and maybe a BN and you would have a nice, active, colorful aggressive tank.
i think i am just going to wait till next year when i have more tank and a bigger tank. but for now a tank with lake tanganyika cichlids have alot activity. I can also have ink calvus looking the boss of the tank. what are some other good tanganyika cichlids. Here’s two Victorian tanks I had, but don’t get any pundamillia until you have a 4’ tank
