Nasty day with tomorrow predicted to be even uglier. Power was already out about two hours and just came back on.

Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
There are already multiple reports of trees down, some on power lines, and the wind will be worse tomorrow. I have business to attend to in town, but will avoid driving until winds die down. ... redwoods could come down at any time.

significant beach erosion can be expected.
No agate hunting for us. It is too dangerous. Here's a gorgeous agate my husband found on New Year's Eve:
We are already feeling the effects of the "bomb cyclone" that is moving into our area.
We live in such a beautiful place, but these trees could fall at any time. Much worse in a heavy wind when they are really swaying
