I'm not sure if it got very much coverage as I watch very few channels and shows on tv,but one or two of those that I do watch did show a short clip of it.I wasn't even aware of any concerts related to the coronation lol!

No celebrations on my part whatsoever. We usually have eight bank holidays in the UK. Monday, for this year only, was an extra ninth bank holiday as part of the jubilations. So, not only did I not watch the sleepfest on Saturday, but I worked the bank holiday on Monday too!

I really don't have much time for the whole charade which is the royal family. The queen on the other hand I had time for, not necessarily because she was our queen, but simply because she was a nice lady, who never put a foot wrong during her long reign.

The rest of them are an embarrassment at times!

I think it was interesting from a historical point of view but it was a lot of fuss and nonsense for 1 man too, my daughter got bored very quickly and went off to watch you tube as soon as she could.
The vibe here is King Cjarles is just a temporary king keeping the throne warm until William takes over and really changes things, in a way i feel sorry for old charles, he has had to wait until he is 74 to start the job he has been promised since he was born.
As for the comcert, what a fiasco. Im not sure what went wrong but couldnt they have found some better acts out of the entire history of British music, if you look from the 60s until now i am sure there would have been some more interesting and relevant bands who could have played.
My wife was saying maybe a lot of them dont want to be associated with the monarchy so they wouldnt have played which is possible too i guess.
Oh well, its all over now, I thought it was nice to see a united kingdom having fun and celebrating their heritage for a weekend.

I think the general vibe throughout the UK is that Charles is an awkward obstacle we have to endure before William takes the reigns. Many believe that William may be the saviour of the royal family long term. New, fresher exciting regal blood and all that balone.

The thing is, he's no better than the rest of them! He's at loggerheads with his brother and that isn't going to go away anytime soon. I mean, what a family. Like I said, it's embarrassing.

The poor queen had to put up with a helluva lot over the years. At least the old girl is shut of it all now.

The headliners were Lionel Ritchie, Katie Perry and 3 out of 5 members of take that. The rest were more theatre and classical type acts.
I thought they could at least have asked Paul McCartney to bang out some classics.
