Feeding the pbass in 240 gal, azul and mutt feed greedily, the orino hasn't fed for 4 months since we got it beginning of Sept 2022. Might have grabbed a few pellets or not. I don't get what's wrong. HITH healed on all the fish rescued from that tank, including the orino pbass. Prior owner fed Hikari pellets and tilapia. For me it hasn't taken NLS pellets, nor herring, mullet, mackerel, glass minnow. I am starting to worry.

Update on the pbass, the orino still shows no appetite since Sept 2022, that is 4.5 months now. Does anyone have any guesses why? Ate well at prior owners massivore and frozen. Never for me anything, except maybe several NLS giant pellets.

I got four Rio Meta pbass from Wes in Aug 2015 and a bit later two Xingu pbass. They were about 2"-3" and have grown today to ~16" for the Xingu pair and 10"-16" for the Meta. I am a Cichla newbie and these were pretty much my first Cichla.

I wonder if I recall Wes' ID correctly and they can be confirmed.

I was given another pbass by Joe of Joefish Aquatics, Ft. Myers, FL about half a year ago at ~3". Joe thought it could have been caught in FL but we can't be sure at all. A customer brought it and one 6" temensis to Joe's LFS one day. His name is Nabaldashnik and I wonder what the species may be. It has grown very well and reached ~1' currently.

They all learned to take baitfish and pellets after having been fasted several days to a week from the get go.

Here are two videos of them in 4500 gal (the second video is focused only on the unknown pbass):

Where do you get those tanks? And how expensive are they?

If fish hasent eaten that long possible internal parasites.

PB&Jcichlids PB&Jcichlids The two 4500 gal came from Dolphin Fiberglass Products of Homestead, FL. Check our their current website and catalog for prices. We paid $15,000 each in 2011.

Orlando's orino pbass, donated in Aug 2022, seems to have not been feeding all this time (6-7 months), at least I've not seen it, except may be a few pellets 5-6 months ago? IDK. As peers mentioned above it could be internal parasites, I decided to administer prazi and metro to the fish via a force feeding tube and syringe:
