How many species of fish have you kept over your lifetime

I have kept 41 different species of fish/crustaceans, mostly cichlids, but some saltwater and others across about 16 years and tanks ranging from 10-135 gallons. Currently have only 1 species though, a managuense for my classroom!

I'm also a member of the old timers fishkeeping club. Been in the hobby since 1968. Even kept a small tank in my college dorm.
I've kept everything from Guppies to Discus, Festae, African Cichlids even a Marine tank. Way too many varieties to provide an accurate count.
Disclaimer: from 1993 - 1998 had to put the hobby on hold due to a big family move.

I don't think I can remember not having a fish tank in my place of living. "First" tank was at 2. Here's my dorm tank(s) from last semester:

I think it is probably the real perruno since i brought from a trusted fish store.

Unfortunately not always. Marmoratus are often mislabelled when young as simply perruno catfish. You can go by adult size and also by the dorsal fin. 8 rays in the dorsal is perruno, any more sail like with more rays 10-11 then it is marmoratus and will grow considerably larger.

I've kept eight species, six of which I have now. Hard to get much more exciting than that with one small tank. One day I'll upsize to a decent tank, just to figure out where to put one.
