I think Santa Clause would be rather disappointed in your evaluation of chimneys Brian. Lol.
Well he would be disappointed in the chimney anyway because the previous owners took down the fire place, it’s just a walled up chimney now. Ol’ fatty would have to shimmy his way back up if he went down or coke busting through the wall like the koolaid man lol

....removed the fireplace,why would they do such a thing like that?

It was a rental, owner probably got tired of having his insurance higher because of the chimney and also renters doing stupid stuff with fire.

I'm curious Brian. Why does a chimney breast add extra to the house insurance? And if the fireplace is boarded up then the danger from a fire is eliminated.

I’m just guessing it does but it does make sense as regular fires going on in your house raises the chances of something going wrong so they’d need compensation for the increased risk they’re taking on. They likely took it down and walked it up then they told their insurance to get the lower rates.
