800g Tank Reseal (for the 2nd time)!

Thanks and I agree. I can hear a distant sucking sound from here and I believe it's the voice of that project.
The actual reseal job...i.e. the application of silicone and the shaping of the bead...is the work of just a few minutes. Child's play, really.

The day will come when I can look back at this whole thing and laugh but near as I can tell that's a ways off. I've not even come close to beginning the actual project and have banged my head several times underneath the tank disassembling the FX6's, splashed some pretty tasty water in my eyes when I disconnected a wrong hose and in the process of turning my head to the side and trying some strong language the hose in my left hand waved around and washed my mouth out w/ a full speed blast of that same filter effluent. The spot beneath the tank seemed like such a great place to tuck filtration and other stuff away when I put it all together years ago but in a SHTF event there are better places to be than in a confined space sporting soaked levis and not enough room to say something inappropriate w/out causing another problem.
I'm going to drag my wet britches back under there and I will leave a picture of last night's sunset as it's much nicer than the underside of that soaking wet tank that still has not been completely drained. Four giraffes are moved to other tanks as well as a huge old geezer pleco and a Black Aro. There are five Peacock Bass that will be moved later tonight and three angry crays that the Peacocks haven't yet eaten.
I have also made a couple of surprising discoveries.

This tank mess has uh, taken some of the wind from my sails.
Don't let it get you down. Think of it as "Tinkering Class". At least you have found a few ways not to do this sorted. Now just find that one way to do it.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, roach! This is definitely some serious tinkering and I'll post a few pics of current status tomorrow evening.
The rough draft is that all but an inch of water is out of the big tank and all of the fish have been transferred to temp tanks. There are three berried Marmorkrebs in buckets inside the big tank and they were three that were apparently too feisty for my Peacocks to eat... so I'll take them to a new home where that won't be the case.
The bonus? All floor water has been dried up, heat cranked, fans-a-blowin' and there is no unusual smell in the room so I'm relatively certain that I've avoided any kind of structural moisture damage, etc. The natural humidity in this room hovers around 30% so that helped a lot.
The second bonus? All fish survived and appear to be healthy. One of the new heaters stuck on full tilt but the bass doesn't seem to be harmed at all and I'd rather that than something less than 65*f, as unfortunate as either might be.
The third? The stand appears to have dried out (mostly) w/ minimal de-lamination of the 5/4 plywood top which would not have been a joy to replace.
