I get where you're coming from! Artificial plants are a lot easier to maintain and can still make your tank look great while providing hiding spots for your fish. Live plants do offer some extra benefits, like helping control algae, but they can be pricey and require more effort. Realistic fake plants are a solid choice if you're looking for low-maintenance decor. And you're right—giving them a quick shake during tank cleanings is a good habit to keep everything looking fresh!
