Sorry to hear. Had a similar issue this year with one expensive problem after another, including a moldy wall but my issue was from improperly installed windows. Whats weird is it happened a day after we replaced our roof. Walked into the dining room to find the carpet soaking wet. Called in some remediators and they tented the entire area, cut open the drywall and baseboards, chased the moisture in every direction, etc, etc.
