I will have to be biased as well. My experience with my Amphilophus Saggitae makes me lean hard towards them.
Jexnell and Ichthioguy, both of those fish are beautiful. I have some familiarity with Casper and have always admired him. Once adult sized what size tank did your fish reside in? What is the filtration used and what is the water change routine? Just curious and want to learn.
I am a fan of Midas. Especially when they are Multicolored white and orange
Caspers whole life, when I had him as I can't say what Jeff Rapps had him in, was a 6ft 125gal. Over the years his filtration changed. Started as a FX4 and AC110'S, later on a removed the FX4 and he had just triple AC110'S. Water changes were fin lvl (around 75 to 80%) every 3 days.
Being disabled and home 24/7 wasn't much else to do besides care for my tanks and parrot. So pulling out the Python and changing water actually gave me something to do beside staring at the TV.
I’m kind of impartial to my lyonsi pair. They’re six years old and supplied enough fry to fund my fish room for years. Sorry for the iPhone picture.
