What are your favorite Amphilophus species?

Jexnell and Ichthioguy, both of those fish are beautiful. I have some familiarity with Casper and have always admired him. Once adult sized what size tank did your fish reside in? What is the filtration used and what is the water change routine? Just curious and want to learn.

I have 2 in there actually, a male & a female. However she is a lot smaller so she hides often. They are in a 100 gallon tall with a Fluval FX4 upgraded, a Hygger air pump with 2 Hygger 55 gallon sponge filters. I keep the water hot around 82 with a 50% water change every Tuesday and about 80% Friday with tests in-between.

I’m kind of impartial to my lyonsi pair. They’re six years old and supplied enough fry to fund my fish room for years. Sorry for the iPhone picture.

Flowerhorn is a man made fish. It's a cross of several different species.

I truly do love this species I just hear a lot though that this size.They don't get as big as the other Species.

I still have the father of my pair, he’s over 10 years old now is right about the 12” mark. They’ve never had that typical amphilophus aggression either. Conspecific yes but not terrible towards tank mates.
