What are your favorite Amphilophus species?

In the past I have kept A amarillo (left), A flaveolus (middle). and A trimculatus (right), and of course the standard pink midevel types.
My latest , a formerly Amphilophus, but now give its own separate genus status Isthmoheros, is tuyrensus.
When I first caught tem in eastern rivers of Panama, they were only less then a couple inches.

But now, after about 6 months of regular meals, they are approaching 6 inches.

Favorite is istlanum.. But they're major a'holes..

Second favorite is lyonsi.. Here's my last spawn..

hogaboomorum is next on the bucket list.. 🤞
