Calcium Precipitation

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how to remove calcium precipitation from a tank?

Vinegar or the PH down acid stuff works.

The difficulty is if you’re trying to get it off of a tank with livestock in it, because both will affect paramètres. Maybe let them dry before filling the tank all the way up?

I do that. It's a pain. I thought maybe I could add something to the water. I don't understand why the Angelfish tank has it and the Blue Texas Cichlid Tank doesn't.

I just try to get the streaks as soon as they appear otherwise they get caked on over time. For some reason that gunk cures into the hardest substance imaginable if you wait too long.

I run mag float cleaners on front and side viewing glass weekly. The back pane I leave as part of the background. Everywhere else I leave.
