Have you tested your water?
Yes
If yes, what is your ammonia?
0
If yes, what is your nitrate?
50
If I did not test my water...
...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes
What percentage of water do you change?
61-70%
How frequently do you change your water?
Every week
If I do not change my water...
...I recognize that I will likely be recommended to do a water change, and water changes are critical for preventing future freshwater health problems.
the four have been in QT since wednesday but had to move them into the big tank due to an issue with power and heating. the little guy seems to really stay near the surface and might be gasping for air? no clue though because there should be more than enough oxygen and every other fish is doing fine.

can’t seem to attach a video so here’s a db link

I watched the video, that’s the exact behaviour of mine too. Not 24/7 but they seem to like being near the surface. I have white sand too and mine seems to prefer anywhere but the white sand. Bloody weird fish.

thank god, i lost one in QT cause they’re quite hard to keep but the others were doing fine, i dosed some kanamycin for the original QT and i plan on putting them back

what and how did you get your flounders to eat? they’ve only been here 2 days but they got no feelings to eat, they guys lay there and ignore the blood worms i throw down

it is one of the most difficult fish to care...I lost your type of flounder within 7 days.
Feeding, water cleanliness, suitable tankmates - everything must suit you...
My experience - this fish do not do well in overstocked aquarium.

yeah that’s what i would assume, my water parameters are near perfect i’d argue and still they just die randomly, might’ve been shipping stress or the supplier cause i bought form monster aquarium and heard some mixed reviews on them

In community tank flounder is weak to feeding, it often kills it.I bought a smaller species and it eats frozen bloodworms.
