Shoot I remember being just a pup when we first got the internet, our computer used actual floppy discs, not the second generation hard "floppy discs, you had to dial in, wait forever to connect, then had about 12 websites, text only, to check out. That was it lol. I remember playing LAN games with my buddy who lived 6 blocks away and thought we were living in the future. It's been all downhill since people who weren't nerds started getting online

I got a DSL line ( was either 64k or 128k?) as soon as it became available back when I was in college and I was king of the Quake and Hexen pvp servers for what seemed like a good while.
I'm uncomfortable just reading this topic. Bot shock? If it's an obvious bot, why open the thread to read/view it?

So then don't report them. Seems simple enough to me. It's not like the various staff here aren't going to see them when they log in.
Not that anything I might see on the interweb would offend me personally, but I also can't get offended if I'm not exposing myself to potentially offensive material.

left. He hadn't kept any fish for a while and had been considering leaving MFK, feeling there wasn’t much reason to stay. This recent incident, however, was the final push. He was also concerned that with MFK's declining security, his account could potentially be hacked, and a bot might use it to post inappropriate content. He strongly condemns child exploitation and wanted no association with anything related to it
Too late. It appears that since he posted this yesterday, someone has been using his account to log in, and post various "likes" on comments that they support.

I havent been on here much myself the last few weeks. Partly its because i havent had much fish related stuff going on, my guppy tank just ticks along nicely but also the bots are becoming very annoying. The 6 pages of spam about university enrollments a while back made me think the admin guys (whoever they are) are really dropping the ball. A child porn spam attack is far worse.
I will keep checking in and commenting where appropriate but if the site is to continue something needs to be done, as someone else stated some kind of explanation and possible fix from the admin crew would help.
