1,000 GALLON MULTI TANK SUMP SYSTEM.

I use the hot water coil in sump method to heat my system. I have around 1200 gallons in the system and find it to be a very cheap way of heating the tanks.

Do you have a thread or could you link us details on that method by any chance. I'm inclined to just heat the room as it will only really need that 4-6 months out of the year when we let the house temp drop to the upper 60's. Otherwise all summer and most of fall and spring I'm finding I don't need to heat my tanks, the house is at 76 or 78 and the tanks have a decent thermal buffer to deal with cool spikes.

The tanks have been drilled, the plastic was ordered and will be in 2 fridays from today. Probably a week before we can cut it... I really need a table saw for that part. At any rate it will be wrapping up overflow modification mid july. Plugging the tanks back into the super system will be a breeze then its time to sort the DE filter/pump situation out. I want to run the system for a month as it was last setup when you guys saw it to get whatever out of the pipes and tanks then plug in the final pump and DE filter. I imagine we will be putting stock in the tanks some time this fall.
