1,000 GALLON MULTI TANK SUMP SYSTEM.

impressive set up, have you thought about having one of the smaller tanks set as a moving media filter? Perhaps a planted tank you help reduce nitrates? Also with a system this size, are you running a drip system for water changes?

Looking good so far!

Amazing job so far.
I´ll be watching this closely and keep on learning for my (near) future project.

Thank you, its been a heck of a project...
we are still trying to Iron out Flow to the lower tanks. but once we get that all set up and the system is running we are going to look into doing a planted tank, a tank with drift wood, and a tank or 2 with crushed coral to really make the water perfect.

The drip system is about 50% of the reason we decided to set up the massive system. directly behind the sump is the incoming water pipe for the house we plan on tapping into that for the system.

Looking good so far!

Thanks so much, all the help and encouragement really does help.

Thank you, in my experience don't wait just start the project you wont regret it. 1/2 the fun is the planning building and filling the tanks for the first time.

I am currently unemployed and on the project full time :) Going to sleep tonight with the sump running just the 125's testing all the seals and making sure everything is good to go (looks like a weld at a clean-out might not have taken properly). The stands for those tanks are done, lifted, the bottom 100's are drilled and over flowed and will likely be put online tomorrow.

The 75's are drilled with overflows all installed and awaiting the stands to be lifted, that will probably happen in the new year with them going online shortly after. I'm sorry that we went dark guys. So happens life can get in the way. The money for everything already being spent months ago there is nothing stopping me and bowtie from finally getting this thing completed.

One tank remaining before the entire system is running at 100 percent. We don't have enough decor for this many tanks! Major photo update inbound. Stay toned.

Yes its Amazing! It is up and running and doing what it does best (filter and cost money)

Some major concerns to address, please comment your input would be greatly appreciated.

1) The pump is so loud (can't really solve until we get a new one)
2) we currently have (4) 300 watt heaters running.. they are maintaining the water temp.. but at are going to cost a ton per month we need a new way to heat the water or some Ideas.
3) preventing fish from jumping into the over flow boxes. ( has anyone use screen to solve this)
4) we need more fish!
5) lighting, we are contemplating DIY LED or even cheap Hong Kong spot lights we want good color on the fish but don't want to shell out the $600 for aquaillumantion lights per tank.

we should have lots of photos uploaded by Sunday evening.

Joe
