i have a question, i myself am planing to build a tank of plywood for the first time so im looking around for the materials i can use, i found a place where can get a 1/4'' thick plexi glass thats 8'x4' same size as a piece of ply wood. i was wondering if i make my tank 2' deep buy cutting the plexi in half would it hold the the water or wold the plexi break? tank will be 7' long 2' high 3'deep... any thoughts?

T1KARMANN: I am truly amazed by your build. After reading this thread, I was curious to know if you have added or plan to add any more fish to your 1000 gal tank, since your last posted photo? My sincere compliments to your masterful quality and skilled craftsmanship to make this desire, a desire that has come true for you and your family. :D

Will you be making a master list of building materials, supplies and cost of your build with a schematic/drawing of your build? I would truly be interested in acquiring a copy from you of the drawings, cost and supplies you used if available.

Thank you for your time. My wife and I have truly enjoyed this thread and thank you particularly, and to all of those who contributed to it.

very very nice tank, I like the background....blend well with the sand bed, is it made of styrofoam (inside of tank) or real concrete background seen thru' the glass tankwall?
