150 Gallon Wild Discus tank thread

Be careful with the cardinals. Watch them very closely for any signs of disease. I've always had problems with them being very delicate shippers. Some in the last group of 100 I ordered came down with a bacterial infection & it spread to the whole group before I could catch it - its nearly impossible to see an issue like that in a school of 100 fish under an inch that are identically colored. Quarantine is necessary for them

Yep they’re in a separate tank with other new geophagus sveni juvies for at least the next month to watch for any sort of disease. The discus are in their own quarantine tank for the next month minimum as well.

Those are so pretty. I tried Discus once, years ago, and lost my butt on some show pairs. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. But I will try again eventually. Just something special about the true original stuff. The wild strains.

Ya i love the wilds. I did find out these are actual wilds too so that’s good. They’re really starting to settle in nicely now. Starting to show a lot more color. Another 2 weeks and they will be going in their show tank
