I like your construction technique. I've always kind of figured the standard would be a house-like framing skeleton with plywood skin, but this incorporates some structure along with the skin, so your walls don't wind up 6" thick.

Oh and Chompers buddy... Watts per hour? :p

its funny how these things look smaller in pics. is that thing really 18ft long?
THATS WHATS SHE SAID!!!

sorry had to do it.

This is a cool build and like the idea of the staggering 2x4 with glue and screws. Your going to need lots of pizza and beer to move that bad boy into its final home. Are you going to leave the 2x4 natural on the outside and stain/poly the outside? I am starting to really dig the look of it and would be a shame to cover it all up. Got to show off some of your hard work!

Hey guys I got back late from work last night, and boy am I tired. Dont really know how much time I will get to work on this beast this break, but I'm going to try to at least get some more materials if nothing else. I have to go in for training 4 out of my 5 days of break. That includes today. Should be able to make up for it towards the end of the month though. I'll be taking leave from aug 28-sept2. So I'll basically be at home from 13 aug - sept 2. I think I'll make some major headway. Thanks for everyone's comments while I was away at work. I'll try to answer all questions later as I have training in an hour. Here is a google sketchup that I did at work this tour for you guys to ponder how it will turn out. There's also a pic of my progress on the skeleton so far so that you guys can get an idea of how much I've accomplished so far.
