I added the salt...I went with what was said on the box and some things I read at 1 tbs per 5 gal...or 3 cups for my 240. Temp is at 80....

I will see if I can get some good vid of how they are acting.

I dont plan to med unless I see something get much worse or they start kicking it.

Tested the water again...all still at 0.

I thought mine had ick initially and yeah it did turn out to be gill flukes. It was treated with parasite clear from jungle and they are all good now. But as someone stated they could just be exploring. I would give it time unless you see some visual cue's then I would remove them and treat them.

Heres a couple quick shots...I need to work on photoing moving fish lol.

I dont know about the yellos...I hope they turn more yellow...will they...I dont think they will...they are about 2-3" and have a decinet amount of white on the belly area. And there is def some flicking against the sand going on with a few of the yellows and acei.

My labs are electric yellow. I broke the tank down 2 weeks ago and found 2 fry that were bright yellow at 0.5" there are pic's of them in my album under misc. Plan on those labs digging too, so if you have large rocks or wood make sure they are sitting directly on the bottom of the tank.

Do you have any full tank shots with the fish? That is definately a dream tank :headbang2

I looked at that when buying the fish...those were the ones I didnt want. I was at a lfs getting salt today and he had some that were solid yellow at the same size as mine or smaller. So I will probably swap them in if they stay this color.

All the wood and rock are on the glass with sand around them. I also have those river stones blocking them.

I am taking pics now...and my battery died...and I didnt charge my backup...so no pics until later tonight or tomorrow lol.

I have to say...my fish look better after adding salt. Maybe its a coincidence but my acei seem to be showing better color...just all the fish seem better. Most of the yellows still hiding.

Well I fliped the lights on for a little bit this morning...and I have to say the yellows seem to be acting better. I think the salt did the trick...or time...whatever...I will order from LFD again.

Tested the water again this morning...and all is still 0. Water is cloudy tho....that new tank cloudy (whitish). It has been so long since I set up a fresh water tank on a normal tank setup (with out safestart)...how long does it take usually for ammonia to show up on the test? I have been feeding them well too...twice a day...and there is a total of 16 fish.

on a tank that size with only 16 small fish you may never see it. What's the PH? The avatar pic is great, looks lke you got the D-90 figured out. What kind of fish is it?

Most of the fish are 2-3" but the ahli and the morrii (guy in the avatar) are about 4-5" and the 2 catfish are about 4"....so those are all small? PH is 8.2-8.4. I would think it will still show something...unless the safestart cycled it.
