There was a guy with a xanthic L25 pleco a while back...here are the pics of his fish in different phases while it transitioned.

Don’t think you’re gonna be able to google any of these...it’s just a rare phenomenon and no, I have no plans of establishing a line. I’ve never bred L200 and I don’t intend to try.

I hope you didn’t get duped!! In no way was I trying to be disrespectful or an ass.

The tail fin is very convincing, your correct in the fact it doesn’t look like a BN tail. I’m not 50% convinced haha...and would love to see more pics of them and some info linked up as I couldn’t find anything about them.

As jexnell said it is a nice fish!!
No offense taken and I‘m not surprised by your skepticism . I was too at first but I am 100% certain they’re xanthic L200...they match the holotype except they’re yellow.

It’s a rare anomaly so I doubt you’d find much info, if at all. I’m not saying these are the first ever as this is a natural mutation. But it may be the first time seeing them in a captive setting...who knows.

Anyways, they either hide or are constantly on the move so these are the best shots I could get. You can see the tail and dorsal fins in these pics...definitely not bristlenose. They are identical to L200. Also, you can clearly see the black eyes so they’re not albino.

I’m hoping they keep their color...I’ll update as they grow.

Thx for the verification! Especially since that’s your expertise. Your site is looking good
No expert here :) But you can clearly see the dorsal and tail are of L200 and the faint spots. Wish I had some of them, any more available?

Sadly no...I wanted a group of them but these were the only two and I’m not sure when or if these will be a available again. But if I do see them again, I’ll DM you

This guy is stunning! I don't want to imagine how much they cost lol. Anyway do you have any breeding plans? Any updates?

I just found your thread and xanthic L200's are real if anyone is still doubting
