Wow, that’s a monster size pictus. The only other time I saw one that size was at the Shedd, but idk if those are actually pictus catfish.
What could they be? Pimelodus pictus are hard to confuse with any other.Wow, that’s a monster size pictus. The only other time I saw one that size was at the Shedd, but idk if those are actually pictus catfish.
Thanks, bro. Polka dot is merely another nickname, common name, and trade name of Pimelodus pictus. The Shedd calls them polka dot catfish, they do look like normal pictus catfish though.
The Shedd may not be as big as Georgia’s aquarium, but it’s a very nice place. Their freshwater angelfish are huge. Maybe when the pandemic is over, you’ll take a vacation to Chicago. Thanks, bro. Polka dot is merely another nickname, common name, and trade name of Pimelodus pictus.
Yeah, they are the pictus and yes I remember Shedd's got a huge swarm of them in their tank. Maybe I'll see it one day in person.
Oh okay also it must be cool to have a tank so out going and active right???IDK. Many of mine have this short head / snout. Looks genetics.
