Pex, has some spare ports (if thats what you call it lol)
Yup, just hook in where you can. All you need is a 1/4" nipple for the air tubing to hook too. Regulator is a good fail safe, but I've cheated before and just used a valve instead without any problems. 25 psi regulators are cheap on ebay. Everything you need can be found in irrigation supplies.

If you do a little shopping around on ebay and Amazon you'll get familiar with what's available so you can figure what will work best for you. It boils down to using what you're comfortable with. Really can be as simple or elaborate as you chose to make it. I like things to be complex and elaborate...lol...mainly because designing and building systems is my favorite part of this hobby. I'm probably the only guy in the world with a sump attached to a 20 long freshwater tank! Lol. It's for my wc darters. Needed massive flow to simulate a creek. By god they got it!!

So i can go right from my hot and cold panel right to the sump...mhh me likey.

Gonna be lazy amd ask instead of googling lol 25psi regulators do what control how much water is sent to the sump ?

Other issue is drainage....i dont have any lol no sewer sytem we're on septic so i would either have to drain into my sump pit which for some reason im not comfortable with...i feel like that much water draining into the pit would wear out that pump sooner and what if the pump failed...good lord the wife would have a field day. Another member suggested setting up a tote or something with another sump pump

I would run the drip directly into the tank, not the sump. Mainly because in the event of a power failure you'll buy more time keeping the water quality higher. Also it's more efficient to do it this way...dilution into a large volume of water (tank) as opposed to small (sump) will mean less of your freshly dripped water will go down the drain.

I'd still drip into your home drain even though your on a septic tank. Really is way more fail safe. To me it would seem that adding solid free, nitrate rich water to your septic would actually be beneficial to the septic tank. Probably could ask a professional what their opinion is.

The regulator steps down your house water pressure (40-60 psi) down to 25 psi. That keeps your air line tubing from being blown off. I use a valve before the regulator to control it even more. Drip emitor to fine tune at the tank.

Yeah i asked and was told it would be best not to drain my tanks into the septic.

The sump pit drains to a storm drain in the front kf the house. Im just worried that with my luck the sump pump would fail at some point

Flint town!
Ive been working on a "drip" system also. Not so much of a drip really more automatic water change system. I am using an automatic sprinkler system to take care of draining and filling the sump on my tank. I have it worked in a proof of concept tote set up and it works good. At a certain time 2 valves open one to allow new water in through a house carbon filter system to remove chlorine and chloramines, that's going to add the fresh water right by return pump. In the filter chamber where water is drained to the sump the other valve opens to allow the excess water to leave the system. I was/am worried if one of the valves fail especially if the drain valve fails to open it'll overflow the system, so on the sump on actual install I will put a second emergency overflow above the valve operated one this one will be just open to allow sump to drain if water ever gets to high. Ill put it high enough so it doesn't drain anything in pump off situations. If power fails then no worries as water wont be added or deleted. I need to get a thermostatic mixing valve to adjust incoming water temp to 78 as this is going to change 50gpd in about 25 min. I used two 27g totes in my work up and it took about 45 min to fill both going through the filtration system. Don't worry I used most all that water for a water change, some had to go in the sump pit to prove it would work. (my wife was worried) ((not sure if that's what she was worried about or not but that's what I thought it was.....lol))

Had no idea a drip system was even a thing! Going to look into this. Hmmm.
Bigfishnut Bigfishnut this is so impressive!! Building a tank looks so challenging. How you and twentyleagues twentyleagues J jaws7777 can build filters and sumps and things is beyond me. Will be following the threads so I can hopefully learn how to do it. Y'all are always upping the standard for water quality.
