the complete setup is amazing down to your camera i'm closer to knowing how i'm gonna do my setup now thanks
wow nice lol i cant even think of what to say
Thank you both. I have made a few changes. I have changed the lights and I have gotten rid of the wet/dry. I am now using the reeflow dart on a closed loop for circulation and an fx5 for filtration. I plan to add another fx5 in the near future.

For some reason about a year ago I started having problems with the tank overflowing, it would not drain fast enough no matter how slow I had the return pump returning water. I tried everything, even got rid of the durso's and had it draining straight to the sump. I took the plumbing apart checking for restrictions, still nothing. Eventually I got tired of fighting and just went to a canister.

You'll have to ignore Spyder001 USA. He tries to start stuff on occasion.

That photo is a little deceiving though. It seems kind of close to have gotten the whole tank in. I noticed compared to your other photos that one is shorter like you have cropped off the top or bottom a bit, so it looks slightly deceiving. I had a 210 and the tank looks similar in size, so I have no doubt it is a 210. I know it's slightly annoying when you know what you have and someone that doesn't know kind gets in your face and tells you you're lying.

I really like both of your tanks, especially the 300. I would've personally figured out what was wrong with the sump instead of switching to canisters. I know it's no fun if you spend more time trying to fix a problem than getting to enjoy the tank though. I hope to get a 300 gallon like that some day. I'll hopefully be getting my 180 I ordered in a couple weeks to replace the 210 that broke into a million pieces on me a few months back. It's always nice to see nice setups like yours for inspiration.

in your experience what do you think was the best way to clear your water, was it the purigen, carbon, reactor, filter socks? i'm where you were at a few years ago before you went the reactor mode.

i think i will start off with polyfill and felt, i have that blue floss over my drip plate and purigen in a filter bag and it clears it somewhat but not crystal crispy clear.

I am no longer using the reactors (since going to the fx5) but I do use a bag of purigen in the fx5 and my water is still crystal clear. I do need to add a second fx5 with some polishing pads though. The water is completely clear but I do have some particles floating around.

wow amazing build. the most interesting thing to me is the under sand jet system you're using. do the outputs expose themselves? or is the sand so deep they are constantly buried?

Thank you. Honestly it depends on what the fish want to do with it. Sometimes they can be seen, sometimes they are covered. Unfortunately, they are never used. After a flood shortly after hooking everything up I unhooked them. I really should remove them but I'm too busy / lazy these days.

aww that's too bad i thought i was a good idea.
I still think it is / was a good idea, it just didn't work out. Besides the flood I think I had too many jets so there wasn't quite enough pressure. Luckily, I have plenty of water flow so it really isn't necessary in this tank.
