Good start, I think it is smart to do the seams prior to sealing, every little bit helps in the sleep factor. I did the Bondo, and am going to silicone the seams, as well as bondoing the screw heads on the outside of the tank to be sure that the screws absolutely will not loosen :)

Call me crazy but I will never get to build my monster keeper if this one leaks.

Wow. Until I read this, I didn't even know you could build your own tank that size (and larger).
Welcome to MFK! You're here with the monsters now. LOL! 350 isn't that big here (yes, it's bigger than any of mine). We all aspire to the 50,000g. Yes there is one. I'm not going to post a link, just to get you to see what you can find.:) This site amazes me everyday.

thanks John, Bubbles and MohaveMomma. Jonh I know what you mean about wanting to be certain it it 100% the first time. also i know wat you mean to say that 350G is ginda small. as I think I stated earlier 350 is the biggest I can go with my existing materials. the stand is 3'X6' so the footprint is set. I am reusing the glass from the broken tank that used to sit on it. it was a smaller tank but I am using the bottom pane to make the front of this tank. its not gonna be no fancy show piece but its a test tank. and its more room to hold my rescues. like MFR I rescue fish localy. in 3 months I have aquired over 300 fish and have only managed to pass on about 30. I have lost several due to illness from their old homes. I can only afford so much on my very limited budget. I haven't gotten any more done do to the weather it has had over 50% chance of precipitation every other day and the product says to be sure no rain is forcast for 2 days following the application. I will try to get a pic today of it with a coat of zavlar on it. well I gotta go to work ttyl

there are 4 coats of zavlar on it. weather has been horrible so nothing has happened in a while on it unfortunatly. it needs to Quit raining. on a bad not the glass I was using for this build developed a crack some time in moving it around. I plan on using it for another project later but now I have to buy a new piece.
