I am not going to comment on why other don't like fake corals. But for the some salty aquarist the challege is in keeping a beautifully maintained tank with live corals. Anyone can just keep fish(well not just anyone), but when it comes to keeping corals alive years of experience and knowledge are required and even then some still die. So your point about people having to eat crow is moot b/c they said they would prefer live corals, as live corals will look better than any fake coral hands down. That being said, this coral display is deffinately a masterpeice and will look great in a tank that is obviously fish orientated.chefjamesscott;2673052; said:and there again to those who dished fake corals
EAT CROW caw caw caw and HUMBLE PIE FOR DESSERT
i bet that when the tank is set up it will be nigh impossible to tell if they real

So enough already with the crap about what is better and I told you so's.
thanks, never thougth on the focused water pressure to clean, i think thats the best idea.Zoodiver;2676320; said:There are several cleaning methods for stuff like this. One is focused water pressure. Another is a good scrubbing with a brush. Usually, it's a routine project geared towards prevention. The idea is to clean them off enough algae never gets a foot hold. Kind of like a 2 minute wipe down of your front aquarium glass very day prevents a 50 minute scrubbing twice a month.
So true, not to mention the unique pleasure of wearing the wet suit in your own tankZoodiver;2676320; said:There are several cleaning methods for stuff like this. One is focused water pressure. You just enjoyed too much being in their faces ...nothing wrong if you emphasize the "naked" truth thoughchefjamesscott;2678018; said:and im refering to people who specifically said it was a joke that he would use fake corals not those who prefer real
im refering to those who scoffed that the manufactured would look like garbage and if you would look to my first post about this matter you will see i referenced the magnitude of keeping reall corals as well as if i was the builder of this tank the person paying the bills says what goes
and i dont see my post as you so eloquently call it "crap" actually the real pictures of this manufactured coral does indeed make people eat crow for saying they would look trashy lets just see indeed if it looks trashy when the tank is up an running
i would bet my bottom dollar that his stocking of this tank will have crazy wow factor and that when its all set up one will not even think of whether the corals are real or not
so friend i will not recant on my thoughts on the validity of using this wonderfully made fake corals i think it does indeed make those who dished it eat crow
