um wow.. ? did u research anything bout saltwater?
Are you kidding me? This is problem with this site always to many people who think they know everything. No I built and designed a 150,000 salt water tank and did no research.
1st its proven that bio media is a nitrate factor BUT not a prob with a fish only setup.. as its not as harmful to fish as it is to corals..
I have never heard this from anyone sorry just dont believe it.
2nd USE LIVE ROCK!!!! ITS THE BEST FILTRATION EVER FOR SALTWATER!!!!!!! toss ur bio media!! its useless in saltwater!!
The owner did not want LR that is it plain and simple, and again it is not needed there are many other bio-media products out there that work better.
3rd even tho those instant cycle bacteria procuct say add fish when u add the water.. u should really wait at LEAST a month for it to cycle properly. not instantly..
Come on man you think your the only one in world who knows this, Yes of course you add the product and a small amount of fish for first month or two and wait for tank to fully cycle.
PATIENCE is key when doing this hobby.. u know this.. so is research..
how this helps.. good luck. hope ur fish live long happy lives
