600 and 280 gallon reset: getting back to my roots

Love both tanks. Their size and the landscaping look awesome!!
I am very partial to the Hemiodus argenteus and the still very young blue hook dollars. Beautiful!
(I know the tanks are primarily setup for the cichlids....)

Thank you. I’m a fan of both as well. These Hemiodus were purchased at about 2” and under and were initially kept with wild discus. Versatile species.

Can't wait to see updates as the fish grow, I won't jinx you with my predictions. lol Good luck amigo!

Thank you @RD.

I’m guessing you and I have some of the same predictions. For one, not sure the 280 can hold the three species in peace. Im hoping so and will cross my fingers. For the 600, it’s only a matter of time before the umbee decide they don’t want to live with Festae.

Reactions: RD.
My own Hemiodus grew also from abut 2 inches, to their current 7-8 inches. Originally 4, I lost one to my own fault (jumped out) about 2 years ago. Excellent fish for looks, hardy, good behavior, good eaters, all together a very nice species.

Agreed. Like a SA equivalent of Bala Sharks without the giant full size.
