I only have goldfish for now just to keep the tank going untill i decide what i will end up getting.
I may end up waiting untill summer to get any fish to make sure I dont have any heat issues.

If you get through Feb with out heat issues, start growing out some peacock bass!

I haven't had any noise issues with my mag drives.
If they are just sitting there without any cushioning between the pump and whatever it is sitting on it will be noisy because of vibration.
I never used any external pumps so I could not say how loud they are.
