This tank is AMAZING and your build and work is GREAT!! Word of caution with the rubbermaid totes, they will leak. Luckily it will be a very slow and small leak. They all leak at a bottom corner.

I have bought about 4 of these. The last two I doubled to keep it from leaking, used insulation between, still leaked but took longer. I only had about 1/4 of it filled. I used it for my small turtles.

Wow great tank! I have been working on designing a large goldfish aquarium myself and will be beginning to build it soon. Glad to see there is another Goldfish fan on here besides myself...we seem to be a rare breed with all the aggressive Cichlid fans around here.

It looks like the aquarium is in your garage, so you might need a chiller in the summer time or insulate the garage door to keep it cool in there for the Goldfish during the summer time.

I have everything stained but I have not had any time to coat it with polyurethane with work and weather always interfering.

I just noticed that it has been a year now that I have been working on this aquarium. Man I need to get on the ball!!!!
