Cichla and a tig for a catfish. Aro's are good too. And they are all from the same region :)
I agree! But instead of the Tig I would go with a Niger cat. They grow huge but are gentle giants and won’t bother your fish. Also I would go with a Black Aro, no drop eye issues and I think they look better than silvers. Cichla or Oscars for the mid range.

WOW, just read through it all and i have to say, that's DEEP! I'd like a tank that big but i dont have the space. One day though!

Personally i'd put a load of discus fish in there, as that would make it an awesome show piece. Or put thousands of neons in there lol.

About the stand, nice colour but i thionk it would have looked better if painted white or a beige-ish colour with a dark trim. Will blend in with the garage walls and white door.

The 100g might look a bit better if it was a bit higher up, like halfway from the big tank

Hi Live in New Orleans, and was wondering what the best fish stores are around us? Hope you can help
I hear there are some nice ones in new orleans but the only one near there I have been to is 50 fathems which is a great place if you like cichlids.

I was going to put sa/ca cichlids but with the 4ft height they would just ocupy the bottom of tank so now I am leaning toward a silver arow and cichla.
That's an excellent choice. That tank would be wasted on CA cichlids. I would have a group of 5 silver arowana and 5-6 big cichla in there.

I am also trying to decide if and what kind of catfish I want to put in to occupy the bottom of the tank.
Can you keep rays where you live? A pair of rays would be awesome in there. Especially when you see them swimming up the front glass.
