What would it be like if Gulpers could reach like 2-3 feet-Wow! Sorry for your Aro that bites-I'd be afraid to put anything with a fish like that-probably one of the craziest fish stories I have ever heard. What would happen if it was with a two foot Umbee?

why do you need to show people what can happen they had already seen it with the lei

the size diffrence is about the same

you didnt answer my ? is the gulpher still in the same tank as the aros
You know what T1Karmann...:irked:...we did NOT all see what happened with the lei. Some of us can only tune in now and again and we do our best to learn what we can. It sounds like no matter what you "drag to the bar" as you put it, it won't help you snag a female companion...:(...unless you get rid of your elevated sense of your own opinion. :WHOA: ... i've never expressed anything negative on any thread ... some people make wierd comments but they sound young or inexperienced etc. You though, don't sound like you have any excuse for being obnoxious so I am putting in my sixpence (get my attempt at English relationship building ;)) worth.

Thanks, ray777...sorry for your loss and good for you for taking the picture and sharing it with the rest of us. My TSN ate a HUGE adult goldfish last Christmas and I should have taken a picture. I couldn't believe the size of his belly. He didn't look as happy as your gulper though at least not until he managed to subdue the poor thing a bit. I was using the goldfish as a buffer in case he got ideas about the Oscar we grew out to put in with him. It worked but I actually felt sorry to eventually lose the gold fish. It had been in the tank for quite awhile, the TSN was particular about being hand fed and then "ouch" the gold fish was visibly wriggling inside the belly of our TSN. (The Gold fish was kind of adoring of the TSN; he used to sit in front of him when the TSN was resting and just stare  meanwhile the TSN never seemed to bother and we used to joke that the gold fish would live (not) to regret his (or her) adoration for the TSN)
TSN's don't have serious teeth...kind of like strong sandpaper, so I guess they swallow and their prey suffocate while they chew as they can. As we hoped, the Oscar is now way too big for him to eat, so the gold fish served an honorable purpose.

Anyway, thanks again for the pictures and your information. ;)
