Just saw a thread here regarding doing a hydroponics in his sump. Not a bad idea...... I might do that do. Instead of just all mangroves why not some lettuce and tomatoes........... Free vagetables. HAve to dig deeper into this... Filters your water and gives you food :D:D:D

very interesting idea. i would love to see more information on this, or someone who has tried it before.

Yes it is very interesting. Just saw a thread inquiring about it but doesn't have much info yet. Hopefully somebody with experience shares some there.

My discus are runing out of tank space so I have to make a new smaller tank for them. bought 4 pcs of 3X1 shelf glass for $0.5 each. Gooped them together.


Bottome will be leftover pond liner. Wrapped plywood with it.


Put glass on top and (anybody getting sick of this thing already :D)do the GOOP tilting method again.

also did my collecting tank. This tank will catch the dripping water that came from the overflow of settling tank and have passed/trickled through the filter media. Then divert it to the sump. diverting pipe is 2 - 4". Gooped 2 - 4" coupling to abs sheet.
