yeah, and modest as well, on that hydroponics idea, try a cash crop, we had some people here doing that very successfully, till they got caught and went to jail.lol:ROFL:
Thanks man! I kinda just made my hydroponics into a refugrium. I can't blame those guys for their choice of "cash crop". If I am gonno do it that way it will be for my own "consumption" :ROFL::ROFL:

haha thats all good and well but to grow properly you will need some mylar and a MH bulb, too much trouble. just stick with tomatos.

on a side note, e few months ago dose anyone remember that guy from belgum that removed his window and boom lifted his huge acrylic tank into his 5th level apt. he was growing exotic plants hydroponicly off of his tank... and not a cash crop either...
I didn't get the last part............what was it?:confused::confused:

arl thanks for the reply, I'm rapped I can reduce the size of the plywood down to 1/16 :nilly:

I had a talk to a mate of a mate who has made some big tanks, he did a 14ftx2.5ftx2.5ft all glass for a customer of his.

Long story short I owned an aquarium store for 10yrs( no money in it :cry: ) my mate 30+ yrs and his mate 30+yrs. but they don't/can't help unfortunately.

He suggested building the angle iron frame fitting with plywood and lining it with fiberglass.

So now I will do some more research, I don't think I will bother with the steel angle iron frame as I am sure timber will be more than strong enough.

I will let you know which root I decide and I'll start a thread here once construction begins.
arl once again thanks heaps for your help. :headbang2

I added another window exhaust fan in my back room. I broke my laundry room window to install the exhaust fan. We don't really open the window andit is under the deck so not really much of a point for a window plus it is just in the laundry room (excuses...excuses..:D)

My 1,400 W (total)electric heaters can't cope up with my new exhaust fan running. MY DISCUS ARE COLD!!! I am thinking of shutting down my sump and bakki shower filter ( bakki shower cools the water a lot). Ill put my pump in the settling tank and dump all my bacteria house filter media in there. This way I will have only water in my main tank and half of the settling tank. Less water - less power needed to heat it. Just run my full system again when it warms up hopefully in 2 months. DON'T YOU JUST HATE -55 C temperatures :irked: :irked: :irked:
