Yeah we were in deep freeze last week, temp stayed around -35's C with winds at 80KPH. Those wind chills really gets you bad. I try to keep my tank temp at 84 F but they went down to 76 F when I left my new exhaust fan running for 12hrs. I normally run my dehumidifier with my small exhaust fan in there and I can keep it at about 84 C, but humidity at the back room is still abaout 60%.muckieman;1480160; said:holy crap -55 c dang and i thought 18 degrees farnight was cold!. what is your temp of your tank.
NO, asian aros are equatorial fish and they only breed in certain parts of the globe and they have to be in big mud ponds. They were very few isolated cases of tank breeding outside of SE Asia but its more of a luck. Even putting them in mud ponds outside of their "thriving" zone they will hardly breed. But Hey!!! you'll never know, I might be the lucky one to have a very "horny" pair of aros who doesn't mind doin "it" anywhere!! We'll see in 2-3 more years, my aros are still a year old. That will be one hell of a bragging Rights...." The first one to breed asian aros in the americas!!"the_loaf;1480366; said:great build ! ! ! and great aros !!! do any of them bread?

I never thought about that but I think that should help a lot, I can see the water temp difference when my house thermostat is at 18 and when my wife cranks it to 25! Not only will that help in keeping the water temp high but it will help me finish my basement. At the rate I am going right now, 15 mins work and 30 mins staring at the fish tank, I will never finish my basement. If the fish tank is covered I will be working full time in my basement with out any distraction . I got some extra styro I'll cover the glass tommorowjuststeve79;1531579; said:damn thats a nice tank!! hey have you thought of puttng insalation on the glass at night to keep it from our great canadian cold.. may help with the heating bill! and use the pink stuff for that!!! damn cold!!
