Cool, looking good,as for wc thats how i do it now,ive got a 480l container in the utility room which i fill 75% with the ro then top up with hot tap water the night before and then switch 3 heaters on and a pond pump to move it all around about 7 in the morning and its up to temp at around 7pm when i do the wc.
Cant wait for some more pics.

Steve
480l CONTAINER, how big is that in mm/inches, guess i need to get something like that asap. do you think 50/50 ro/tap is too much RO?

Been busy tonight, got all the putty done, corners, joints etc. got a small heater going in there and will leave on over night as the data sheet on the putty/epoxy says it should not be below 20 celcius.

installed the second 22mm gate valve, for the water change level too.

uploading some more pics now, in my album as is the norm for me (bit of luck Satan will wave his forked tail and upload on my thread  ;) ).

830I think 50%RO would be fine but our water is very hard here so we do roughly 75%.

just done coat number two, went on much better than the first, the ply sucked in a bit but the second one gave plenty more coverage. just gotta sit back and wait now, it says on the tin it will be dry in 2-7 days, so i'm going to give it the seven before i mess about with it much.

Getting the glass priced up today too.

uploaded some more pics to my album.

just been to a glass supplier i use for work, he recommended using 10mm glass for the front, do you guys think its thicker enough? i said its not a case of cost, i would have it a foot thick if it had to be so.

My dad built me a couple of 6x2x2 tanks years ago out of 5mm and that was fine.

thoughts please. I know the guy knows what he is talking about but i just wanna run it past the MFK world. cheers

You could get one of those square fibreglass pond vats too, also on the glass thickness at 4ft high i would do 15 or 19mm max,the quote for mine was for 15mm glass but only 32" high but i know some people use 12mm for the same height.

i agree, it seemed a bit thin, not going to settle on the 10mm, its better to be 'belt and braces' when you're dealing with something like this, i'd be devastated to find it all smashed and the fish lost, just because the glass was too thin.
