Guide Bear, bodyguard, attention getter. Man, you'll have it all.
Parka Parka , Self Reporting with plausible scenarios to be considered!

But yeah, here is my outdoor eyesore pool and I'm propagating about a half dozen different water plants, these plants will be going in Chicago.
a variety of plants.jpg

Chicago has about 3" of pea gravel on top of about 3" of lava rock with a sprinkler hose beneath all of it for the UG filter, I decided to leave it as is and leave the pump OFF, and then I plan to set potted plants, I Will have MY OWN water jungle!

But I hurt my hip real bad and I can't do much at all until it heals. Its just a joint problem and it just happened yesterday but it might be okay with some time off.

I hate to hear that Parka! Hope it does heal. I've been limping around like an 90 year old for the last 4 months, no more cartilage in my right knee the doc says, gotta have a new knee the doc says. Have you seen what knee replacement surgery is like? It's barbaric, like something from the industrial revolution. Cut the knee wide open, yank the kneecap out of the way, sawsall the ends off of the leg bones, screw in a metal cap on the raw bone ends, stick a piece of plastic in between 'em in place of the cartilage and sew it back up. 10-15 years later, repeat. Come on, this is 2024, where's the injection of a polymer into the knee that cures into a new cartilage? Surely medical science can do better than that.

Now that is entertaining!
sawsall the ends off of the leg bones,
That is NOT how I Worship! I like YOUR idea way the Eff better!!!

Listen, it does bite, however, it is on the mend and I was only totally down for one day. It is the same hip that has been bothering me for more than ten years but the grind from the other day, It was the worst one so far, and even now it is still tender and sore but it can bear weight again, I can still stand and shuffle about without the excruciating pain. I still can not peddle my trike yet, another few days I hope and then I can pedal again. In the meantime I use my Silver Adult Power Wheels to get out on. Friday is my day to water the pantry beds at the Community Garden and I didn't miss a 'beet'...! I brought home some kale from my bed and shared some with my Beautiful Swimmers. They are SO friggin pretty!

Now, about my next build, The NYC of Plywood Aquariums, the plan is to measure, mark and pre-cut and prep all the pieces upstairs outside the garage and then store them in the basement, and THEN move Akron. After Akron is relocated, then the NYC build will put together as a ready to build kit.

I will chat you later, Good Night!

AKA, took time off and Loafed about the House and I even Moped a lil bit!

stayed in the game!
One way or another, you better believe it! Because I got a Back-Up Plan, I have a whole host of Back-Up Plans and I keep 'em in my Gloat Compartment!

I can start to make tiny things too, super special things... Just one of many ideas...

talk about the NYC
I Know! Right now, all the 'talk' is just Word Action. I have decided to design and build a different type of stand as opposed to the 2x4 stick frame stand.

The 2x4 stick frame stands make excellent stands, I have NO gripe about the strength of these stands. It takes a lot of time and effort to put a nice finish on the INSIDE of these stick frames, if one cares about that. My design will use pre-built plywood vertical supports which will make a professional inside finish a breeze.

I plan to show every aspect of this build with pictures, It is a simple and straight forward build, and I will drive that point home when I mark and cut the plywood.

It is a SIMPLE BOX! Word Action leads to Build Action!

Hi Sassafras Sassafras , hi all the other Monsters!

So on this Saturday, I will be retiring the Outdoor Eyesore pool/pond, it has a real slow leak anyway and the top ring that holds air, it also doesn't hold air anymore but I love the design of the top ring inflated with air. I will be setting the potted plants into Chicago, the Jungle Val, I planted six rooted stems in wide shallow pot, garden soil topped with gravel, and already they are growing and putting out new shoots.

I also have a similar sized pot with 7 Amazon Sword plants, a reddish variety, and I have 3 separate pots with different colored Lily plants, and I have one bunch of Moneywort that is looking nice, it likes to poke its head up out of the water so I will try to place it nearer the top, I'm thinking I could pot it in bag and attach it to some of the driftwood so it can mingle on the surface.

I got a whole bunch of Water Lettuce, spreading nicely and I have two bunches of Hornwort and I have quite a bit of this smaller looking grassy stuff, like a small version of Jungle Val but I believe it is a variety of Cryptocorn, I also bought this plant, some sort of Hygrafila but it is not looking good, it's not all dead yet but most of it turned into boiled lettuce.

Tomorrow is my day to water the Pantry Beds at the Community Garden and I plan to travel by red pedal trike, if my hip is okay with it. If not I will tool out on my Silver Power Wheels. I can get everything watered without getting off my trike or Adult Silver Power Wheels. Good Night and I hope to have pics of planted Chicago on this Sunday, talk about Worship! One can be hopeful...

Parka Parka , Self Reporting!

1. Memorial Day. Yes, Beloved Pearl, Godmother to all my Swimmers, She perished in the service of others. Eternal Love.
Memorial Day, '24, Pearl.jpg

2. Akron. The Giant Danios, a dozen of them, are the main show in Akron, and the Fancy Cats, I have 5 Pictus catfish and they are a decent side show, it's a nice spectacle! and I also keep a pair of common Pleco's in Akron, I got them as tiny babies and they got very big. Foot long! Shiny Akron.jpgLittle Akron.jpg

3. The Mighty Chicago! About 8 weeks ago I got some Moneywort aquarium plants delivered in the mail. just a handful of stems sealed in a plastic bag to maintain moisture. Well apparently there were some hitch hiker fish eggs and I saw the tiniest fry I have ever seen. In the meantime, I put a bunch of plants outdoor pool and now those tiny fish are still tiny, super tiny!
Getting along!.jpg

And here is a pic of the tiny fish. I have a dozen, maybe way more? Any idea what it is? A Tiny Tetra? It is about 1/2 inch long! I have gobs of small snails too, I like it!

Now this picture of the Mighty Chicago is to show off the lighting on the ceiling. I plan to put up the last two sections tomorrow. Those are 4' tubes, 42 watt LED, I have four up now and these lights will be used to grow houseplants that do well in medium light, Deef-em-Bawkia, Pothos, etc.

I have some more intense lighting, also LED, like a plate, I have a pair of 200 watt plates, and many more, 2 pair of 100 watt and one pair of 60 watt plate type LED grow lights. lights above Chicago.jpg

I'm catching up after vacating in the mountains for the last 9 days. The plants are a great addition. Your mini pond may not have looked all that great, but it grew some healthy plants. You'll need those high-powered lights to keep up with the sunshine those plants have been getting.

Are you sure your goldfish didn't spawn? I've never seen goldfish fry in real life, but the finnage and body shape on the little guy look like a goldfish to me.
