I was the one who talked with Rapps about the different Aequidens and Andinoacara sizes. When I asked about ultimate sizes, he mentioned the Jenaro Herrera hit about 8", the metae hit up to 10" and the stalsbergi hit 7-8". I did not ask about the diadema (though Rapps did have the Jenaro Herrera listed as a type of diadema). I confirmed all of the info given by Rapps with Alf Stalsberg to be true in both their experiences. This leaves me to wonder if there is a morph and/or locational difference within the same species or if perhaps there is a difference between captive and wild growth depending on the age of any wild individuals brought in.

Here are some pics of my Aequidens sp. 'Jenaro Herrera' and the Inca stone T. macs. :)

First two pics are of the larger 'JH'. Third and fourth are of the smallest 'JH', who is a little shy. The last three pics are of the largest (of 5) T. mac, who is very colorful and beautiful.

Well, it looks like the metae have tried again!! I have eggs in the pot again. I guess that nasty storm we had here in the northeast this weekend set them off, lets see if they can hatch this time without being eaten. Wish me luck!
