Thanks Quason778 Quason778 it was an arduous journey but well worth it to see this beast without damage and harassment of other fish.

Brisk Brisk I've had this GATF for probably 20 months or so. It was the fastest growing specimen of gatf I've kept out of 10+

What size tank do you have this guy in and how much flow? I think I recall you (might have been someone else) challenging the original approach of 50x tank size.
 
It wasn't me who challenged the 50x flow rate but yeah Ill probably be flamed for this but my GATF is still in a 180x65x70 which is much too small but has thus far kept mine is optimal health. I'm planning to rehouse to a 10x5 after possibly relocating. As for flow, i have two wave makers along with three returns pumps at a total of 8500 lph rate.

No flaming from me :)

I will need my 180g to last for a while (until 16-18in probably) and in all honesty I am planning to have lower flow like yours. I am running a hmf filter which is about 3x turnover and then have a circulation pump that adds another 9x turnover. If I plan on adding an aimara long term I need the GATF to be comfortable with medium turnover and not the 50x.
