Aimara wolf fish variant

That’s from what I’ve seen from import pics in the past. Hard to tell since they vary pending their environment.

This is a picture from a little bit ago they really do vary in colors a lot

No idea just aimara wolf fish from a store called monster fish store in flushing ny

So they said the ones they have right now are from Peru but I’m asking them when I bought mine where they were from. Do they even live in Peru

I’m no expert on this species at all so I wouldn’t know. Even experts have a difficult time telling them apart.

However, I do know that they are also found in Brazil and Columbia, and fish from these areas are sometimes sold to and shipped out of Peru. Perhaps you can narrow it down to collection points in these areas, and not near Venezuela. There used to be some very knowledgeable people on here years ago but those members are long gone.

Perhaps duanes would know for certainty.

So they said when I bought them they got them from Columbia but they originate from Suriname P phreeflow kno4te

Think a while back. Long while back it was mentioned that fish were caught in one country and shipped to a neighboring country for shipment due to export restrictions. Think this was related to rays. Could be similar to what has happened with aimara.
