The water sterilizer is called Twinstar Nano. Apparently it has great reviews, and it presents algae. I couldn’t remember the word: saturater or sterilizer. But that is exactly what it is.

Twin star says it is harmless to aerobic bacteria so it won’t harm the aerobic bacteria that Rid-x has

Probably a uv sterilizer. It kills algae spores floating in the water.

You have congo tetras with your birchir? did this work long term?

No, the congos were mostly males and attacked the fins. The bichir ate them once they couldn’t swim. I’m sure that if you got a good ratio of male to female (probably 1 per group), it would be fine. Or if you got only females.
