The way I've always understood it was...

"Oscar" is a common name for Astronotus Ocellatus

Therefore the common name "Oscar" would not apply to other species in the Astronotus Genus...

I believe it is more accurate to ask "what other species are in the Genus Astronotus?"


I don't mean to nit pick at your question... but only wish to prevent any misunderstandings that come from reading it. It's totally up to you, but I think it would be gret if you edited your original post to reflect the cleaner wording.
 
Astronotus Rubrocellatus is a juvi wild oscar my buddy is trying to breed them actually.
Your info is terrible flawed the 2 links you posted with the same fish aren't even pics of oscars they are related to oscars but way more rare.
