Yes, cichlids defending their nest/fry are terrible to deal with. I just avoid them at all cost. We have a mated pair of Midas. The male would attack my face and my feet like crazy. We pulled most of the fry today, so hopefully the aggression will stop.

Been meaning to ask, but keep forgetting....are there any real plants in there or are they all artificial? Looking great by the way....how long til 'Pima time?
Plants are fake, wood is real. Being locked in the basement gives us no advantage when it comes to lighting. The 14' depth also works against us. I've been begging for a live plant tank since I started here. We might get one going in a few weeks....keep your fingers crossed.

Yeah, I went from female boss to female boss....Though I have to say Andrea was alot more fun to hang out with after work. She new me back when I was trying to find the biggest fish possible for my wimpy little 90 gallon tank. Man, I was such a typical rookie MFKer back then!
Matt you were and would always be my favorite. I know you love what you do so don't try and blame it on me. I wish I could do what you do everyday at work. I think I might take a dive in the Rosy Red tank today in honor of you....
