I'm all for the peacocks. My boss isn't. I've had a lot of success switching them to prepared food.
As for the Brycon - some things just don't do well in situtions like this. The group of brycon we could have picked up for free were all pulled from their exhibit b/c they were beating up everything. Having the pacu in there pushing other fish around is bad enough.
Beating everything up??? How big was this exitbit???? You're Exibit is huge! I don't see why they would cause havoc there.

The Brycon were in an 85,000 gallon with a few other bigger fish (including some of the black pacu we picked up). They were true terrors to their tank mates. With a volume of water this size, you can get away with alot of things that most would shy away from in a regular tank. But even with 145,000 gallons, some things are impossible.
In relaity, I wish the pacu were gone as well. The 3 large blacks aren't too bad, but the two smaller speices we have are way too high strung in my opinion.

Wow! Really impresive just on sheer knowledge of each fish in the tank. Ive just read through the entire thread and it is amazing. Learnt so much about big fish and about species I have never seen anywhere. I would, one day love to be able to house black pacus properly. Just need a couple of grand and an extention on the house and im sorted lol.

Is there any chance of a full fish list? I lost count of all the different species and the numbers :) please ^^

I'm actually working on putting all the fish lists onto one sheet today. I'll post the full thing when I get it done (I hope tonight). There are at least 5 species of cichlid in there that not even our suppliers recognize. They sent them up as "misc" wild caught animals. Most are fairly small, so it's hard to tell what they will grow into.

I just found the last full sheet - which is dated for March. It lists 60 species at that point and 621 fish. I know of about a dozen species added since then, and well over 200 more fish (with another 200 in holding still).
I'm still working on getting the full hand written list into the computer.
