That is very cool, please post pics when you get them, I know they will be tiny but I still want to see them. Congrats!
Will do. My camera isn't the greatest but I'll get something up. They'll be going in an 800g tank eventually, but I'll only want a couple. When they put some size on I'll probably offer them up here.

Unfortunately, I don't speak Dutch. Anyone?

The body shape, to me, looks a lot more like A. xiloaensis. I have a group of those too and they definitely resemble the fish pictured above more closely than the sagittae group that you now possess.

They come from the same lake. Maybe they got mixed up?

I tried hitting the right button on the mouse, came up with a translation option, let's see if it lets me post it. http://www.microsofttranslator.com/bv.aspx?ref=IE8Activity&from=&to=en&a=http%3a%2f%2fwww.nvcweb.nl%2fportal%2findex.php%2fmidden-amerika%2fmidden-amerika-cichlidencatalogus%2f98-amphilophus-sagittae-stauffer-a-mckaye-2002

I do think maybe that pic looks more like an Arrow Cichlid, Amphilophus zaliosus. Some of the stripes look slghtly bent. The article was from 2002, so maybe the info they had isn't current.

Holy crap, you want a Northen Pike? Where would you put it, in your indoor pond? I'll keep my eyes open, very occasionally I'll see fish like this offered for sale in LFSs, bu it is rare.

First goldfish feeding

They've been on the edge of breeding for a while now. I decided to try to push the issue a bit. Gave a massive water change last night. And tonight, I decided to stop by the lfs on the way home from work and get 10 feeder goldfish. First time in at least a year. maybe a couple of years, that I used feeder fish. I'm not into it like I may have been in my teens in the early 80s.

I think that was my first and hopefully last video of feeding feeders to my fish. I think you're supposed to play super aggressive music when doing so, I dug up one of my old Anthrax cassettes to do the jub, lol!

I dropped 10 feeders in there, only two died. I put them in around 5:30 this evening, went out for 6 hours, came back, and the other 8 aree still swimming around. So much for thir superpredatory habbits.
