Thanks redm18, I believe it is epoxy resin and then gel coat.

GODZALLA, the glass is placed behind a 2" wooded frame which is also fully sealed with the fiberglass and resin on the inside of the tank and sealed with silicone. So there is no pressure on the glass and silicone.

if u can upload a detail pic for the glass fitting in the frame i mean the place where the glass meets the wood and the frame .. !! do u know what i mean !!

It can be done. There are several threads here in the DIY section with plywood builds using pond liners to seal them. Just use the search feature.

but do i need the epoxy to glue it ? or just make the wooden tank then put the liner and fix it from up with nails .. !

i mean can it be just wood and liner ?

i ll go for a try on a small tank for turtles 100 cm X 50 cm X 50 cm with a glass window in front - do u have any recommendations for that ?
