Man, its looking better and better! I really like your half door too, not much you can't do with the right saw...

Are you planning on sealing the inside of your canopy? It looked unfinished in the pics and with that deezle spray bar its gonna be wet in there.

Yep, tomorrow's job is actually to remove the canopy and start coating the inside with several coats of the blue gel coat. Once it is coated, I will seal between the canopy and the tank with silicone to make fully sure.

In-between those blue coats, I will be staining the outer plywood and then start the outer trim.

I will also be modifying the spraybar so that it is much closer to the water level, or just under it.

Hopefully in a few days it will be 100% complete :headbang2

Ok, today it got a few things done.

1. I got a couple of blue coats inside of the canopy and lid.

2. I got 2 coats of stain on the outside of the tank plywood.

3. Modified the spray bar so that it will be JUST under the water surface to reduce the sound of the returning water.

Here's a few photos.

If I were you I would get a second pump as a back up, you never know when a pump will die and then it could be a scramble to find a replacement. It's always better to have a spare just in case.

The level in my tank does not stay constant when the pump is on (also a mag1200). I am also using a durso standpipe and the water varies by about 1/2" (low to peak level) every 5 minutes or so. It might have to do with the size of hole in the top of the pipe, maybe too small. But it is working okay for the past couple of years.

And your tank looks great!

Yeah, it was a doddle, once I had found a place locally where I could get some PVC fittings.....there are no Lowes or Home Depot in Korea you know!

I have just got a 1500 GPH pump today (my LFS ordered it in for me). Next I am going to get a replacement impellar for my broken Mag 12 and I'm also thinking of getting a Quiet One 6000 also. Then my Korean pump and Mag 12 can be good spares.

There's a couple of small privately owned hardware stores, but nothing like what you would concider a Lowes store.

And to answer your second question......HELL YES ;)
