Mile High in Northern AZ, baby!~
Hey Brother,
That is one unique and awesome build...
Then after you blew my mind with it being on the 7th floor of an apartment building, I just remembered you built it in place as well!!

I'm sure your neighbors are still wondering what you were bringing all those materials up the elevator for...

AND,

you sneek in that AWESOME carved wood crest of a BASS!!....

^^^^Totally Bad Ass right there!!^^^^

Unbelieveable Bro,
You should be very proud of your work...
I bet the Wife LOVES it too.
I know I will be showing it off for sure!

That's awesome! I am also interested in where you got the wooden bass plate. Or did you carve it yourself?

Thank you bud. I am sure of thing....I bet the neighbours are glad to hear the end of my powertools :D
The wife is also happy to see the end of the build and she is also quite impressed with the way it turned out.
We were going to have a big party with some friends so that I could show it off, but I am leaving for work again on Monday morning so it will have to wait until I get back. I also won't be putting my bass in the tank until I return on November 2nd.

Holding out on the bass carving was tough I can tell you. Thanks for the Kudos.

My bass will be going in in early November. I am leaving for work on Monday and returning on November 2nd, so there isn't enough time now to make sure there are no issues with the sump before hand. My bass will move in to his new home as soon as I return. If I have to go away for work then we will come up with a new plan then. What's the point of having a tank like this and not use it.

The carving. First of all, I DID NOT CARVE THIS THING MYSELF. That is wayyyyyyy beyond any of my wood working skills.
It was a gift from a good friend of mine from a Bass Fishing Forum that I visit. He and his wife live in Texas and since I have never been to the States before, they want my family to have some items from their part of the States. This was a part of the package I received. It was hand carved by a guy from Texas. I do not know any more than that, but I can find out more if anybody wants to know.

Awesome looking of course....

May I ask what you do for a living that has you gone for such long periods of time?

Now that it is done, you and the wife should take a picture in front of it. You know... sort of present the "finished product" like the ladies on Price is Right do for the prizes you are bidding on.

I am currently (and for the last 2 years have been) working on the rigs offshore in Africa, but this next trip will be my last trip (wooohoooo). So I will be looking for a new job here in Korea. When I am not working ON the rigs, I work on a team BUILDING the new rigs.

As for your photo idea, I may do this, but I sure won't post the photos here
